Cream 1970’s Prairie Dress

This is such a cute 1970’s dress made using cream crimplene.

The chest is smocked with cream and chocolate brown horizontal stripes. Some of the elasticity has diminished over time, but the aesthetic isn’t affected by this.

The fastening is a rear glass zip running from the nape of the neck to the bottom of your spine.

The short sleeves have a slight puff at the shoulder and the neckline is a high square finished with a flattering gather. There are two dainty embroidered rose patches either side of the collarbone. They add a pop of colour to the dress.

The waist has an attached tie belt that can be tied up front or to the rear to create a regency style silhouette.

Approximate measurements when laid flat are:

Shoulders: 14.5”/37cms

Bust: 17.5”/44.5cms

Waist: 20”/51cms

Hip: 26”/66cms

Length: 57”/145cms
